Welcome to Acamaya!

Born in Texas and raised in Mexico City, sisters Ana & Lydia Castro spent many hours in the kitchen of their grandmother as little girls.  Fast forward a few (or more) years, and they both ended up in New Orleans.  They fell in love with the City - the people, the food, the culture - and decided to call it home.

Acamaya is their first restaurant project, where they aim to meld the best of Mexico City, Gulf of Mexico seafood, and New Orleans in a beautiful, relaxed space.
